Copyright Policy of Php-MultiShop
Php-MultiShop is based on PHPNuke and osCommerce:
I must to thank the developers of these great works if now exists my project.
Besides, I must and I want to respect absolutely their Terms and Conditions,
then I release my work (for free, with GNU/GPL License) asking the same respect.
- PHPNuke Copyright Policy
Francisco Burzi (the PHPNuke creator) writes:
According with the email number 213080 to Dave Turner (GPL Compliance Engineer) from the Free Software Foundation,
the copyright notices of PHP-Nuke has been changed in order to be 100% compliant with the GPL license section 2(c).
This copyright notices can't be removed and the Commercial License becomes 100% compliant with the GPL license.
Hope this is the end of the story for the people that doesn't understand a bit of the GPL. Again, if you want to
legally remove the copyright notices from PHP-Nuke generated pages you must purchase the Commercial License, see
Commercial License for more details and stop complaining about this issue, the
Commercial License is legal, GPL compliant and approved by the Free Software Foundation. End of story.
- osCommerce Copyright Policy
Although osCommerce is released under the GNU General Public License, we do enforce our copyright rights concerning the osCommerce solution. This means that, while you have considerable freedom to modify and redistribute osCommerce, there are conditions placed on the osCommerce copyright notices.
The osCommerce copyright announcement displayed on the Administration Tool of osCommerce complies with section 2c of the GNU General Public License (GPL) and thus can not be removed, or may only be appropriately modified.
It is not the intention of the osCommerce Administration Tool copyright announcement to claim rights or contest your rights to work written entirely by you; rather, the intent is to exercise the right to control the distribution of derivative or collective works based on osCommerce.
It is entirely within your right however to add to the copyright notice to claim rights on the changes you have made.
The osCommerce copyright announcement displayed on the Catalog module of osCommerce can, however, be modified, and even removed, if the layout of the site theme has been modified to distinguish itself from the default osCommerce-copyrighted theme.
Please note that the osCommerce Administration Tool copyright announcement must still exist regardless if the default osCommerce-copyrighted Administration Tool theme has been modified.
The separate text "Powered by osCommerce", or similar text, displayed on both Administration Tool and Catalog modules is optional to have displayed.
- Php-MultiShop Copyright Notice
All the copyright notices about Php-MultiShop (within the footer and some modules) cannot be removed nor modified without a written
permission by Piero Trono.
I hope that all these reasons will be respected and, above all, will be shared
because this is an important item of Free Software Movement.
